How Much Does The Human Brain Influence Self Confidence With Women Really?

What if you could develop the self confidence required to push you to the limits of your true potential?

Following the formula on this page is the simplest and easiest way to raise self confidence with women.

First let's explore why women seem to have a particularly challenging time when it comes to building self confidence. We are often taught to be passive people pleasers, and so we usually put everyone and everything before our own needs. Let’s not forget all of the images of size 0 models that contribute to an alarming rate of self confidence for women. It’s no wonder so many of us struggle with developing a true sense of self.

There’s actually a great book called The Female Brain that suggests that there are hormonal surges that occur in a woman’s brain that cause us to hold on to negative thinking and self criticism. According to the author, Louann Brizendine, MD , the female brain is "judgmental”. It serves as a reminder of every social interaction we have – the good and especially the bad. There is a part of all brains called the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC).

The ACC is located just behind the front of the brain and has been linked to the causes of worry and depression. And, of course, it's just our luck that it's actually larger and more influential in females. Our brain circuitry for observing emotions is higher also, which is why according to Dr. Brizendine, “The reason we think females have more emotional sensitivity is that we've been built to be immediately responsive to the needs of a nonverbal infant. That can be both a good thing and a bad thing." She further explains that, "Our human brains love to categorize and label—'the pretty one' or 'the dependable one' or 'the smart one. Then you grow accustomed to the label and often re-create that identity because it feels familiar.”

So, now that we have more awareness and the scientific explain behind the reason we’re prone to low self confidence. What the heck do we do about it? The good news is that we can learn new ways of thinking to create a strong foundation of rock solid confidence.
